From concept to rollout
When Villara began developing the Emeric and VillaTherm variable speed systems, marketing was involved early. I contributed to naming exploration, logo development, and the visual direction for both product lines, then carried that foundation through the full launch rollout.
Because the systems were manufactured through international partners, accuracy mattered at every stage. I worked closely with engineering and R&D teams to verify technical details, specifications, and documentation before materials went to print or production.
One of the biggest challenges was balancing two very different audiences. Homeowners needed simple, approachable communication around comfort and efficiency, while builders needed materials that could support larger development conversations and clearly communicate product value. The challenge was keeping everything consistent and easy to understand without watering down the technical side.
The scope eventually expanded beyond print into motion and education-focused marketing. A three-minute explainer video was developed to help homeowners better understand how variable speed heat pump systems work and why they differ from traditional single-stage systems. The goal wasn’t just to market the product — it was to make a technical product easier to understand and easier to talk about.


Educational, technical, and customer-facing
The launch ultimately included a wide range of customer-facing and technical materials across print, video, and product documentation — including brochures, one-sheets, specification packets, installation manuals, warranty materials, and a homeowner education video.
Because the branding and collateral development were happening alongside the product rollout itself, many pieces were developed in parallel and expanded over time as the launch continued to evolve. The Emeric and VillaTherm identities became the foundation for everything from sales materials and printed documentation to educational and customer-facing assets.
The explainer video is a useful tool for helping homeowners better understand variable speed technology before ever speaking with a comfort advisor, while the printed materials support both sales conversations and long-term product reference. The work helped create a clearer and more consistent experience across multiple stages of the customer journey.
